Planning Your Move

International Moving Inc
can move your items via air, ship or truck depending on your needs.

If you have the dimensions of the floor plan of your new destination, you can determine how your furniture and possessions will fit. Also consider the
hallway, stairway and elevator/lift dimensions. Not all items such as piano’s, oversized furniture, sectional couches and so forth can be accommodated.

You can follow our recommended steps for your International Relocation:

  • Contact International Relocation Inc three months prior to your moving date for a free estimate.
  • Make a list of items you want to take with you to your new destination.
  • Make an itemized inventory list and determine the value (in U.S.Dollars) of the items for insurance purposes.
  • Start to prepare all documents such as your passports, inoculationrecords and visas, if necessary to take with you.
  • If you purchased new goods, have the invoices available.
  • Verify the correct address for your new destination, phone number and email address, so that you can be contacted and kept informed of your shipment’s status.
  • Read the customs information page we have provided for your destination country. Laws are subject to change without notice. Everyone should know their rights regarding customs regulations. We recommend that you contact the Consulate’s Office for the latest information.

Items Not to Ship

It is recommended that you do not ship the following items:

  • Valuable and important papers such as family records, birth certificates, marriage documents, financial information and other like documents.
  • Jewelry
  • Fire Arms (license is required in some countries)
  • Live Plants or Seeds (license is required in some countries)
  • Open bottles containing any liquids or other contents
  • Flammable cleaning solutions or other toxic liquid substances
  • Alcohol
  • Pressure spray cans

Check with customs regulations, or call the consulate for other possible restrictions in your destination country.
